OM DAC
DAC will present in its different parts interactive art exhibitions, tools for creativity, inovative zones for university and industry, examples of entrepreneurial learning, advanced visualization, matchmaking for entrepreneurs, education programs, prototypes and ground breaking research.
DAC strengthens Swedens international competitiveness through interaction between creative industries and technical research and development.
DAC reflects the true power in the region and gives new energy and inspiration for the future by combining creativity, technology and culture.
DAC is a strong contribution to Vision 2030, but not only that.
DAC is also an important building block in the realization of fulfilling the vision of a more organic and attractive science city – Kista Science City. We will establish a public center which purpose is to highlight the collaboration between art, creativity and new technology as a prioritized scene of the future.
DAC opens up new areas of contact between technology companies and the creative industry. The combination between the working models of the IT-industry, new research and art leads to new ways of innovative thinking.
In this way DAC can help Sweden increase its competitiveness internationally.
DAC – Digital Art Center is all about establishing a public center that will highlight the interaction between creativity and new technology as a highly prioritized area of the future.
DAC is a project at the intersection of cultural, educational and industrial politics that want to promote a local and regional growth. DAC shall be based on a close interaction between the academic, industrial and public sectors.
DAC will become an arena of exhibitions, creative works and meetings. It will be a public space in Kista that shows the positive effects arising from the combination of art, digital technology, science and multiculture in a concrete way.
DAC will display both occasional and permanent exhibitions. The exhibitions will create a bridge between the visitors and that which is new and yet unfamiliar in the technological evolution and the contemporary cultural landscape.
